      Interesting projects, not enough focus on software engineering

      Pros

      It is quite fun to work for GTECH mainly thanks to collegues and good atmosphere. The projects are high scale and international. A lot of oportunities to travel abroad and meet people from other international GTECH teams. Nice facilities in the offices like ping-pong tables or gym.

      Cons

      It's a software house but it's focused enough on delivering great products. It starts with recruitement when the bar isn't too high. The company doesn't seem to value great engineers but rather great politians. The high management isn't approachable. The middle management often lacks understanding of the technical aspecs of work in their teams.

      Pros

      The people. Working on a lot of different things, not just repetition or busy work. You have to learn a ton of new things if you've never worked in gaming before.

      Cons

      The upper management needs to learn what the people that install and work with the customers know about gaming. The management with three-letter-titles, and any VP's have big ideas as to what gaming should be and what should be in casinos, however the need to learn a lot and talk to the people that deal with sites/customers on a daily basis. TOO MANY VP's!!!!!!
