Pros

IMDb is an excellent environment to work in, I can't emphasize that enough. The management tends to care about their people, and the CEO is great and very involved in the business. IMDb is his baby and he genuinely cares, which spreads out to the leadership style of the rest of the team. I highly recommend this company.

Cons

IMDb is a part of Amazon which means it is subject to return to office mandates, and they are taking it very seriously. Depending on the team you get assigned to, you may be working with an older stack, although the majority of IMDb is now modernized.

Pros

As a small company with teams of 6-8, IMDb feels a bit like a start up. As an engineer, I feel empowered to make decisions and take ownership. The workplace feels like a small community, and we take part in fun activities like daily movie trivia. The CEO/founder is incredibly invested in the product and welcoming to new employees. Being part of Amazon, IMDb receives all of the same mechanisms and structure that have made Amazon successful. If you love movies or tv shows, this is the place for you!

Cons

This isn't a huge con, but being in a small team can feel like you're isolated from the rest of the company.
