Pros

There are no positives to working at ION Group.

Cons

Management is non-existent. Personnel are there to take blame without evidence of any wrong-doing. Technology is treated like machinery - "I dont understand why we need new technology as demand increases. Make due with what you have."

Pros

There are none, it is clear that you as an employee are just a number.

Cons

Everything about my day to day has become more difficult since being acquired by ION. Culture does not exist, and they have moved almost every single process from our way to their way but with an EXTREME lack of clarity, communication, and foresight. There are issues with every single migration they have our company make, and they don't have clearly defined avenues for what we should do when issues come up after they have forced us into a new system. Everything is slower and we have had to switch to Teams which is the most apparent version of them saying they don't care about us as employees and just want to save money, because Teams is slower, less reliable, always has server issues, and is not nearly as fun or customizable as Slack. And again, culture does not exist and you are treated as a number and not an actual human employee who contributes and makes a difference.

Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

The company does not care about loyalty. Not that long ago, many experienced people with more than 15+ years in their respected companies were let go. Not knowing what these people responsibilities or their values to their products were, they were let go on New Year’s Eve by email. Who does that? The company is growing by acquisitions of more IT companies and hiring of graduates. But talented people are leaving before they get the boot. Don’t be deceived by some great reviews. They are done by the new graduates who don’t know any better.
