Pros

1. Good Pay 2. A lot of smart people around from whom we can always learn something 3. For someone willing to settle in Noida, ION is a great place, as it has teams for almost all products the company sells. 4. Flexible work hours 5. Cool office interiors

Cons

1. No work from home 2. Some teams work on old & outdated technologies 3. Politics in some (non-development) teams 4. Salary (and some times an annual bonus) is the only thing we get from our company. Oh yes, we get a fruit every Thursday. No added perks such as Stock benefit, commute travel provision, etc.

Pros

Probably not the worst company to work for, but I would bet that it's close. Although I do agree with the negative points raised in previous reviews, I feel from my experience that many of these points have been greatly exagerrated. There are a few positives to working at ION Group: - Genuinely friendly, talented and intelligent colleagues who will want to help you to succeed. - Working with colleagues around the world. - A truly diverse workforce. - Free fruit and coffee. - A few good social events (when they happen).

Cons

Many of these points are from my point of view as a Developer. For other roles it may be a different experience (judging from the other reviews on here, I doubt it). - A very bureaucratic process for virtually all decisions means that the completion of projects usually takes a lot longer than it should. - For a large software company they are very far behind in adoption of, and reaction to, new technologies. - A lack of transparency regarding decisions from management. - Hiring process for new staff is very long winded and it can take weeks or months to get a formal offer in place (it took me almost three months to receive my contract and I was later told that was "quick" for them). - The flat structure can make understanding of delegation, responsibilities and remit unclear. - A lot of reluctance from management to invest in adequate technologies and solutions. - Very resistant to change methods that are proven to be failing. - A heavy emphasis on acquiring new companies at the expense of jobs and quality of products. - The CEO delegates much of the management of the company to inexperienced graduates without any real world experience. - As mentioned in a previous review, management make very questionable decisions but suggestions for improvement are discouraged. - Not a place to build a career. Unless you're on the graduate scheme, career progression is non-existent. Be careful about taking a job here - you'll likely be looking for an escape very soon afterwards.

Pros

1. Good pay. 2.Work life balance.(Typical 10-7 job) 3.Team members are supportive. This is the beauty of ION 4.Not much politics at lower level. 5. If you don't want to learn much and are not ambitious ,and need a good pay, this is the place for you. 6. They pay well and their interviews are not that difficult,if you want to increase you paycheque this is the place for you. Refer to point 5.

Cons

1. Work is very boring, although work is there. You will be busy whole day working and at the end you wont learn anything. Thats why good people does not stay here. 2.No fun activities except running/marathons 3. Extra process some of them did not make sense. 4. Work environment is depressing 5.Too much micro-management. 6.No of working hours are given more importance. 7. They are not eager to change sometimes. 8. Overall no challenges.
