Pros
IQPC is gives employees the chance to gain in depth knowledge about the hottest industries and markets due to the extensive research work that backs up each and every conference the company runs. In addition, because the company deals exclusively with senior level executives, it opens up unparalleled networking opportunities for its staff. Work environment is a fast paced one with lots of creativity and idea development going on. In fact, there are financial rewards for those who develop topics into products. Most of the staff are young, vibrant people who work hard and play harder. Skill development is key at IQPC. The company invests a lot of time and resources training employees to ensure they are as sharp and effective as they can possibly be. I worked in sales and can tell that the knowledge and skills I have acquired during my time in the company I wouldn't get anywhere else.
Cons
This relates more to the industry than to IQPC itself, but the company basic relies on pulling ideas out of thin air to turn them into commercial conferences. A topic that is hot today may not be as hot tomorrow, events that are very successful one year may be a complete failure the next because of external market factors. Even though this is what makes the job interesting, learning about one new industry or market every month in order to be able to sell a new product to an entirely new audience is sometimes a bit tiring. Also, the work involves a lot of long hours in front of a computer screen, which is something I'm not personally a fan of.
