Pros

Surrounded by lots of strong sales people, positive work ethic and an approachable CEO - a good starting point for a career in sales

Cons

High churn rate, all the good accounts are already given out so even if you come with a portfolio of accounts chances are you won't be able to touch them.

Pros

Generally great people and management, informal fun culture. Probably one of the better conference companies in Sydney.

Cons

Lack of real professional development/career progression. Typical churn and burn out treatment for producers, constantly crazy workload. Low base salary

Pros

I came into IQPC as a graduate sponsorship manager. I was part of a trial graduate scheme to take new grads straight into the sponsorship team. This was successful and I was there for almost 2 years and it was an excellent introduction into sales and the working world. The training was very good and genuinely industry leading. Make no mistake it is a very hard job for a grad to come into, but if you're bright and are prepared to work hard you will get a positive experience and be paid well (very well for a grad). I earned significantly more in my first year than my other colleagues from uni. I was lucky to have an excellent manager and work under under an MD in the exchange division who you can look up to and learn an awful lot from. The reason I moved on was to go into a different industry (tech sales). As far as events firms go, I consider IQPC Exchange London to be the best out there. You will meet some very interesting and bright people working at IQPC London. Also very good opportunities to travel, if you hit sales targets- Vegas, Miami, New York, Europe.

Cons

Due to the competitive nature of the sales team set up, there can be conflicts among sales reps. This is common among any sales team in any company, but work could be done to ensure there is a better working relationship between individuals, as an uncomfortable working environment can sometimes be created.
