The Black Plague Is Back

Pros

I would like to start off by saying I gave this company a 1 star rating because Glassdoor would not let me submit this review with a zero star rating. Moving on, below is a list of pros. 1. Starbucks in walking distance. Great 10 minutes to take a walk and decompress. Also, they're very friendly. 2. La Bamba has great breakfast, and cafe con leche 3. There is a parking garage you are able to use when it is raining heavily 4. Quick 5 minute drive to both International Mall and Westshore Mall 5. The Ramada - Great place for HH. Right next door. You'll need to unwind after the day. Everyday. 6. Occasionally there are fire drills, and you get to leave the office for roughly 20 minutes. Now, your managers might try to get you to stay but the building security comes around to each office and makes sure everyone is participating in the fire drill. 7. You get to travel and stay at high end hotels, however your per diem is enough for the vending machines, and you will not have any time to enjoy the resort. 8. You will learn a lot in a short amount of time, but that is because you have no training and you must teach yourself.

Cons

It is a great thing that Glassdoor does not give me a limit on the number of characters I can use. Below is a list of Cons. Although they may seem funny, they are 100% factual. 1. MANAGEMENT IS AWFUL AND NON-EXISTENT 2. This is basically a 12 hour shift, don't get this job confused with an ER nurse. Sure you'll be paid hourly for the time you're working, but if you submit OT be prepared to stand on trial. 3. Even though EVERY SINGLE THING YOU DO will go through an approval process thru upper management, if something goes wrong it will be 100% your fault. 4. The Managing Director for the Tampa office will not know your name, or care to know, even after an entire year of working for him. 5. The is no HR Department due to inappropriate relationships amongst upper management 6. When the city is literally shut down due to natural disasters (hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, etc.) you will be expected to show up to the office. If you do not show up, you will be docked PTO. I want to clarify when I say "city literally shut down", I mean schools are closed, government offices are closed, businesses are closed, etc.. 7. PTO is not a real thing. I had to go out of the country with no access to wifi in order to have personal time. 8. No growth within the company. 9. Fake people. If you'd like to meet the most two-faced individual on the planet, join NY ops. If you have morals and value yourself, stay far away. The pay isn't worth anything. I'm sure you can find a company that appreciates you as an employee, and pay you as such.

Pros

Overall I would recommend this job to anyone looking to break into or expand their sales careers, here are the pros: -Sales Training is top notch. You are fully prepared to do your job and can take these skills with you anywhere your career path leads you -Uncapped commission means the more you sell the more you make and can even travel around the U.S. to events which is cool -If this is your first job straight out of college it can be a great crash course into the business world and cultivating relationships with other organizations and executives from well known companies -Opportunity for growth and promotion within the company if you really want it and deserve it -If you put in the time and effort to master your craft of the sales process you will do quite well and can make good money -Though they could do a little bit more to increase employee engagement, the culture of the office is great and everyone seems to get along and work quite well together

Cons

-They need more incentives for the sales team other than just uncapped commission which they take 13.5% off the top automatically right away for some reason that I can't even explain -Haven't really traveled much but have been told that many conferences we run will have great content and people, but sometimes they can look cheap with the food/presentation and the company needs to invest more in the customer experience since our clients pay good money to participate in these events -You get paid about 50% of your commission up front, but have to wait until a month after the conference you are selling on (could be months away) to get the rest (and most) of your hard earned money, which is how they ensure you stay to get your payday. This doesn't matter as much if you work 3+ events events a year but if you are starting out and grinding out sales your first few months it will take some time before you reap the benefits. The low starting salary (which can go up very quickly if you hit your reachable targets) do not help this issue

Pros

IQPC offers many opportunities for those with a strong work ethic and passion for sales. This is a great place for entry-level sales people to develop their skills and seasoned professionals to join senior teams. You will be walked through everything (CRM best practices, sales templates, objection training, etc.) in detail. Management strives to set everyone up for success through onboarding and ongoing training. Success is rewarded with promotions to senior teams and opportunities to take on more responsibilities. There are also opportunities to transition to other departments such as marketing or production after getting a good sense of the industry and finding your passion. IQPC offers a great work-life balance but you need to be self-motivated and okay with a fast paced environment. Friday happy hours and lasting friendships are common because of a younger workforce full of amazing and personable people. Your direct manager will always go to bat for you and have your back.

Cons

Base salary can be higher but additional compensation opportunities are always being implemented.
