Pros

IQPC took a huge risk on me. They provided me with an opportunity straight out of college with no experience whatsoever and really trusted me. I will never know how to express how grateful I am to Chris Ritchie for his leadership and training because it has given me an opportunity for a job I never thought I could get at my age.

Cons

The base salary. I liked traveling to my event and it would have been better for my career to go to one earlier so I understood my product.

Pros

Learn about many various industries, nice friendly co workers in their 20s-30s. Good location -midtown, near grand central....that's about it.

Cons

Well to start- they completely MISLEAD you about the potential income and commission you can make here. They sell you DREAMS about uncapped commission and in the end the whole team barely hits 20k steady. If you are a true SHARK BEAST sales person with solid experience - STAY AWAY. It is an unstable financial rollercoaster from HELL! Lets talk numbers- it may take MONTHS to reach 20K in sales with a super low base pay- this is NYC??? who will survive on that? NO ONE!!! Calls are also tracked daily which is fine but then everyone focuses on Quantity NOT Quality which is a HUGE problem and helps NO ONE make money! High revenue events are NOT distributed FAIRLY which results in ridiculous numbers on the board with some having 20K in a week and others with 0-3k- I DONT THINK SO! Also I clearly asked is this a COLD CALLING job? They said NO-guess what? They LIED yet AGAIN! You cold call ALL day PRAYING someone picks up and turns into a somewhat responsive lead. The events sometimes are good sometimes are dead and they still ask YOU why you have no numbers on the board? Are you kidding?

Pros

This is a relatively young company, which gives you a great opportunity to meet people in their 20s and 30s and create lasting friendships that will hopefully go far beyond the length of the job (especially considering how high the turnover rate is with this company.)

Cons

Unfortunately, managers will use fear and embarrassment tactics to try to elevate performance. This generally creates a hostile and unpleasant work environment. It's not uncommon to threaten employees (even those who are still in training) with getting fired, as well as using embarrassment tactics such as signage on individual desks to draw attention to those who are falling behind on their metrics. There is a very strict amount of call time that must be met by producers and sales teams alike, so many resort to calling family members and friends to meet metrics, but that doesn't benefit the company or the employee.
