Pros

I wish I could say some something kind here. Most of the people were nice.

Cons

This is a terrible company to work for. They churn through staff and pay well below market average for similar roles. Even more concerning is the reputation of the company. When I tried to more to another role in another company they seemed concerned that I worked at IQPC and would not have the adequate skills to get the job done. Do yourself a favour and don’t work here.

Pros

Without a doubt a great place to cut your teeth or come in mid-level to learn a proven, enterprise wide sales methodology and with both some skill + dedicated effort you'll continue to earn more money each year. Uncapped commissions. Fun, but competitive work environment. Ability to submerse yourself across a variety of industries and build industry relationships with movers & shakers. If management and career advancement is on your mind, you can move rank quite fast for a 1,000+ person company after demonstrating success, professionalism, and not fighting the system. Work aside, rather young work enviroment so a good chance you'll build some good friendships and enjoy the typical Friday Happy Hour...if thats your thing :) If not, no worries.

Cons

If your lazy or don't like following a set system/framework, this is NOT for you. If you don't like change or are not versatile, this will not work. It can be a bit fast-paced with expectations high, but those who can keep up will reap the benefits. Product can sometimes be poor and even as a top performer if other departments don't pull their weight, you'll feel the effects. Starting salary can be a bit low for NYC standards but with performance you can demand a raise when justified.

Pros

Probably the best thing about this company are the people and the international environment. You also learn a lot of thing about technical topics. Working hours are 9 to 5 unless you have to be on-site to coordinate a conference or sell conferences taking place in USA.

Cons

-miserable pay: the entry salary is lower than in a start-up -little flexibility: limitations on who to invite as speaker or acquire as sponsor -unsustainable business model -the only departments praised and rewarded for their work are sales and sponsorship but the product they sell (the conference) comes from the conference manager. no product to sell, nothing to praise -management with no management or leadership skills. everything is controlled from the UK office -conference managers have to pay the losses from their profit share -very high turn over rate due to the low salary, lack of opportunities to grow inside the company -almost everyone has a 2-year contract. after that they kick you out
