Pros

IREX has created a collegial work environment while managing a challenging set of projects. IREX is also comprised of capable, friendly, mission-driven field-based staff and the DC office (renovated in April 2013) is a great environment in which to work. I also really enjoyed the size of the org (roughly 100 in DC; 450 globally).

Cons

Though it has been known to pay less than other DC-based mid-sized NGOs, I certainly enjoyed my experience with this organization. Limited mobility for some less senior staff and a high degree of burnout in the Educations Program Division.
