Getting worse so left

Pros

I used to enjoy it here. But it really slipped with the CEO change, but I suspect it might be the board and probably why the previous CEO left.

Cons

I was told 'you should work outside your hours' at one point, that was it for me. Disgusting and seems, sadly to be going backwards. IRIS will say they get great scores, but bonus are based on this score, so you'll always go higher than you might want to.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we’re surprised and disappointed by your comments. We’re very proud of our fantastic Executive team, who care deeply about IRIS’ success and know that our employees are at the heart of everything we do. Recently, we were delighted to welcome our Chairman, Gus Malezis, to the role of interim CEO as we search for a new CEO to lead us into FY26. This leadership change has not affected our focus on being a Great Place to Work for our employee or putting our customers first. For example, we recently introduced two new benefits for our UK employees: increased our UK 'holiday buy' benefit to 5 days, and offered over 60,000 hours of training to our employees last year - with the aim to exceed this in 2025. We’re really proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work in the UK, US, Canada, Ireland and India and as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for 5 years running, which is based on the anonymous feedback our employees share in a survey conducted independently by a third-party consultancy. We’re also delighted to use Peakon as our regular employee feedback tool so that employees can share feedback and suggestions with their manager, HR and our leadership teams. In some bonus plans, we expect managers to achieve a baseline employee engagement score in Peakon in order to receive a payout. This is because we know that having a great manager is the most important aspect of how you feel at work. The vast majority of managers score much higher than this threshold, and those not performing receive dedicated coaching, training and support to genuinely improve their performance and the engagement of their teams. We appreciate that IRIS is a fast-paced, successful and innovative company that always seeks to excel, and as part of this, people occasional work overtime. However, any overtime worked is handled via our UK Time In Lieu or Overtime Policies, to ensure employees find a good work-life balance. We’re sorry that this wasn’t your experience, and we encourage you to email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk with any further comments. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

Great community, supportive team members and decent company benefits.

Cons

Workload can become unmanageable there's so much going on at once. Pay for entry/intermediate level employees is lower than industry average.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re delighted to hear that you are enjoying your time at IRIS and recognise our amazing #1RIS family where our colleagues are passionate about creating a friendly, supportive and welcoming work environment. We’re delighted to offer an extensive UK benefits package that can be tailored to meet the needs of our employees. We appreciate IRIS is a global, growing, and fast-paced company and so our employees’ wellbeing and mental health are of the upmost importance to us. We’re extremely proud to have been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing year on year and have won the Best Integration of Wellbeing and EDI award at the Make a Difference Awards. These accolades highlight that our employees feel well supported here at IRIS and recognise our great range of mental health and wellbeing support – in the UK this includes trained mental health first aiders, company-funded access to talking therapies, wellbeing apps, an Employee Assistance Program, and Mindfulness training. Please reach out to our Wellbeing & Inclusion team to find out more. Senior management also continually assess workloads within teams and we empower employees to share their feedback with us through our engagement survey tool, Peakon, which gives everyone the opportunity to send suggestions directly to managers to support planning and prioritising workloads effectively. We’re proud to have improved our Workload driver on Peakon to 8.3 out of 10, which is 0.6 above our true benchmark and puts us in the top 25% of technology companies. We’re very proud to be accredited as a Real Living Wage employer, this means we commit to paying a fair wage to cover at least the real cost of living in the UK as calculated by the Real Living Wage Foundation. In October 2024, the Real Living Wage Foundation announced their increased new rates for 2025 and although these rates don’t come into effect until May 2025, we’re uplifted our Real Living Wage salaries to the new rates effective November 2024. This is a significant increase to the cost to IRIS but we’re proud to take this action to support our lower paid employees as soon as we can. We also operate pay scales in select department which enables our employees to grow their salaries as their skills develop. Please check out our ‘Pay and Reward’ page on our intranet for more details on our compensation philosophy. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please speak to your HR representative or leave a comment in our next Peakon survey. Kind regards, the HR team

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re delighted to hear you recognise IRIS as a great place to start your career and appreciate all the wonderful opportunities on offer which have helped you develop your skills. We’re really proud to be Great Place To Work-Certified across all our regions, including in India for the second year running, thanks to the fantastic feedback of our employees. We take this accolade seriously and are committed to ensuring that IRIS is a place where everyone can grow professionally, feel included and celebrated, and rewarded fairly. We’re pleased to run a companywide annual salary review process each fall, which includes external benchmarking data, to ensure we’re paying the market rate. Along with competitive salaries, we also understand the importance of ‘total reward’ – we invest heavily in progression opportunities, internal and external training, extensive employee wellbeing support, and investment in volunteering and charitable initiatives. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please reach out to the HR team or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. Kind regards, the HR team
