Pros

There are no pros for Iris.

Cons

The wages are far below market rates, the management is useless, the CEO is nasty, the culture is orientated around performance and not keeping employees happy.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we are surprised and disappointed by your comments. We’re extremely proud of our fantastic CEO, Elona. Our employees frequently share with us that they find Elona authentic and inspirational, for example, in one of our surveys, an employee commented: “[Elona’s] an amazing, ambitious and inspiring CEO”. We’re also very proud to have been certified as a Great Place to Work© and one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for the third year running, which is based on an anonymous employee survey, conducted by a third-party consultancy renowned for recognising outstanding organisations. As part of our philosophy for running a successful organisation, one of our three guiding principles is to delight our employees. To do this, we ensure that our strategies are continually shaped by our employees’ views and expertise, through feedback in our employee surveys, inboxes, and Employee Voice Ambassadors. We’re proud to use Peakon, a monthly survey engagement tool, to provide regular qualitative and quantitative data on what our employees love about IRIS and where we can continue to improve. Currently, we’re delighted to have a Peakon engagement score of 8 out of 10, which is improving year on year and already above the benchmark, and that our highest scoring areas focus on Management Support, Equality, and Alignment to Goal Setting, which are all above 9. We’re passionate about paying our employees fairly and competitively to reward their dedication and hard work. We’re proud to run a companywide annual salary review process each autumn, which includes external benchmarking data, to make sure we’re paying the market rate. We also offer pay scales in select departments to enable employees to grow their salaries as they develop their skills, and operate a range of generous bonus and commission schemes to recognise and reward hard work. We also work hard to ensure that our managers and leaders are inspiring and caring for their teams. In the last 12 months, we are delighted to have trained our manager and leaders through our Managing and Leading with IMPACT programmes, which builds their skills and covers the day-to-day practicalities of management through workshops on giving feedback, emotional intelligence, coaching, effective management, and goal setting. We're very sorry to hear that this wasn't your experience, and would encourage you to reach out to Stephanie Kelly, our Chief People Officer, to discuss your concerns in complete confidence. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please reach out to the HR team or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. We wish you all the best in the future. Kind regards, the HR team
