Pros

Some amazing people to work with. Even middle management do an excellent job in making you feel like a valued employee and not just a number.

Cons

Compensation is so-so. Higher management lacks a vision and direction beyond satisfying shareholders. Buzz word bingo in meetings.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted that you love working with your colleagues and feel supported and valued by middle management. Paying our employees fairly and competitively for their hard work is of the upmost importance to us, and we're delighted to be officially recognised as a Real Living Wage employer. We are also proud to operate a range of generous bonus and commission schemes to recognise and reward hard work, run an annual salary review process, and offer pay scales in select departments to automatically reward employees when they hit career milestones. On top of this, we offer an extensive and varied UK benefits package, including company-funded private healthcare, life insurance, income protection, employee assistance programme, mental health provisions and discounted gym memberships, matched pension with NI uplift, our electric car scheme and many other opt-in benefits our employees can choose from. At IRIS, our mission is to be the most trusted provider of mission critical software and services and our vision is ensuring our customers get it right, first time, every time. Underpinning this our values are Innovation, Making It Happen, Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Team Work, which combine to spell IMPACT. Our values mean that we put both our employees and customers at the heart of everything we do, inspiring new ideas, delivering high quality results, working hard and uniting together to achieve as one. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please speak to your HR representative or leave a comment in our next Peakon survey. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

There are positives here. The sales teams realise they are all in the same boat and tend to group together to motivate others who might be struggling.

Cons

The atmosphere and general feeling around the sales department is one of absolute fear and resentment towards management. The methodology from management is simply one way…. Numbers, numbers, numbers. The trouble is with this is they have no interest in how you actually get these numbers or why is there a lack of numbers. The lead generation process is shambolic, marketing don’t help, and the process to actually progress a deal is from the dark ages. Everything in IRIS is over complicated to the extreme. This causes issues with billing, customer service and ultimately clients leaving us. Why is there a senior leadership team? What do they do other than scream for numbers…. In other businesses there is at least an attempt to understand the complexities and conditions with a view to make things easier for people to actually sell things. All in all a very difficult place to work. Not your typical software firm. Very much boiler room mentality.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we are surprised and disappointed by your comments. We sincerely ask you to reach out to Stephanie Kelly, our Chief People Officer, in complete confidence so that she can help, or your department’s Employee Voice Ambassador (EVA) if you feel you are not being supported by you manager. We would also like to offer the opportunity to discuss this further with Kerry McAtkin (HR Director for Commercial) as we are interested to know your experience with IRIS and how we can help you feel more supported and engaged. We are delighted to reward our fantastic salespeople for hitting their target and have recently updated our commission scheme. This initiative has included rolling out the same scheme across Sales, moving to monthly commission payments, simplifying tiers and types of order and the chance to earn 200% of commission once you hit your target. We’re also investing in training for our salespeople so that they can develop their skills, learn different products, and grow their careers. We are also pleased to run a recognition award for our highest performing salespeople each quarter. To streamline our processes and increase efficiency, we have heavily invested in Quantum, our integrated software platform, and Salesforce to manage our sales processes. We are also investing in our customers’ journey, mapping out the current end to end customer journey and overlaying it with a simpler customer-first approach. We’ve also been proud to celebrate the launch of our new marketing campaign, Time to Grow, which will support businesses with their digital transformations and increase revenue potential. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please speak to your HR representative or leave a comment in our next Peakon survey. Kind regards, the HR team

An exciting place to work! Every day a new challenge and great to work with like minded people. Freedom to be yourself, full training and support to develop in your career.

Cons

Lockdown and restrictions on face to face meetings and going to the office was a challenge - as there is a lot of energy and passion when IRIS people meet!
