We take the opinions of all our employees seriously and want to be able to address your concerns and put things right. We also work hard to ensure that our managers are equipped with the tools needed to unlock their team’s potential and inspire motivation and development. In the last 12 months, we are delighted to have trained over 100 manager and leaders through our Managing and Leading with IMPACT programmes, which builds their skills and covers the day-to-day practicalities of management through workshops on giving feedback, emotional intelligence, coaching, effective management, and goal setting. We strongly value employee feedback and are delighted to empower employees to share their feedback with us through our engagement survey tool, Peakon, which gives everyone the opportunity to send suggestions directly to managers to support planning and prioritising workloads effectively. However, we know there is always more we can do and are committed to encouraging continuous feedback and engaging with employee’s comments. Through Peakon, managers have made over 46,000 comment interactions with employees, which enables both bottom-up and top-down communication. The team have all been very welcoming and have offered any extra help I may need to make the job inclusive. Choice of hours over 5 day week as long as they are consistant. Onboarding was relatively smooth.

We are delighted to offer a range of flexible working patterns for our employees and operate a range of diversity initiatives and support groups. For example, we are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, meaning we actively encourage people with disabilities to apply for opportunities at IRIS and support them when they do. To support our employees with dyslexia or other reading difficulties, we have launched a read and write software called Texthelp, which provides employees with the tools they need to support them with everyday literacy in the workplace. We are also proud to have partnered with Auticon, an international IT consultancy that specialises in supporting consultants on the autistic spectrum, to hire a neurodivergent employee to work on one of our software development projects. Not only did this provide an opportunity for that individual, but it was a great opportunity for the team to work with neurodiverse colleagues and share in their successes together. As you have a clear #Passion for inclusion, we would like to encourage you to join our Belonging Group, which consists of employee representatives who meet regularly to discuss diversity initiatives and share experiences. Each sessions covers a different topic, previous topics include Black History Month, Windrush Day, National Inclusion Week and how IRIS can get involved, celebrations for Pride month, breastfeeding at work, and supporting neurodivergent employees.
