Pros

Newly vamped office in Manchester, will be a great building to work from

Cons

The Chief Revenue Officer has surrounded himself with non quota carrying, highly paid people with director titles to support sales, in all honesty I have no idea what they really do, as the impact is so minimal. The real issues; old price books, customers not willing to give references, constantly missing software release deadlines, products not fit for target markets, project management resource… I could go on, the issues just don’t get fixed! The sales culture is vile (and I’m not being dramatic), staff turnover in the past 12 months in the sales org is through the roof, so much so that they incentivise staff to leave positive comments on forums! There is a bullying culture amongst the senior leaders in the sales org, most are under qualified for the job they are doing, and don’t understand complex software selling, so they constantly pull rank to shut a conversation down when confused. Working hours are a minimum of 10 a day, average is 12, and they always find reasons not to pay commission. HR don’t care, as they don’t want to rock the boat. Self preservation is a huge thing at Iris.

Many thanks for leaving your review. IRIS has a zero tolerance policy towards bullying and harassment and has many avenues employees can use to report and have any claims investigated and resolved. These include our grievance policy, our bullying and harassment policy and our whistle blowing policy, all available on the intranet. We also run monthly employee surveys via Peakon, our anonymous feedback tool and recently held a call with all Sales and Marketing launching new initiatives, including a monthly employee representative forum to ensure that there are numerous avenues of communication and feedback within the Commercial teams. We also understand that the recent sales transformation has meant a change of focus for many people and change is sometimes hard to adapt to. The changes have been a necessary foundation to set everyone up for success over the long term, with bigger and better opportunities to sell more and earn more. We afraid we can’t reach out to you directly as Glassdoor reviews are completely anonymous. Please reach out to me (Stephanie.kelly@iris.co.uk) or to our CEO, Elona.Mortimer-Zhika@iris.co.uk to give your feedback personally so that we can help. In the meantime, we wish you well with your new endeavours. Kind regards, Stephanie Kelly, Chief People Officer
