Pros

- Amazing opportunities for development (we might create them in our team, but the feedback speaks for itself!) - Very forward thinking in terms of remote working and flexibility with working hours - Highly supportive management - Teams that are open to be challenged and work well collaboratively - Great opportunities to receive feedback and grow your network across the business - So many options for career mobility - Everyone I've met across our global teams has been lovely - If you work hard, you are well recognised and rewarded - Nice modern offices, with opportunity to work in these - Opportunity to travel to our global teams depending on your role IRIS isn't for everyone. If you're looking for a job to stand still or not be challenged, take things slowly and stick where you feel comfortable this isn't the place for you. IRIS stretches and challenges, and suits people hungry to learn, work hard (and be recognised and rewarded for it) at a fast pace - I love this about IRIS!

Pros

Working hours are fairly reasonable. CEO is lovely! Being made redundant with no notice gave me the push for the better job I’m in now, outside of IRIS.

Cons

Can make you redundant with no notice, and no prior discussion, even while on annual leave that they pushed for you to take. Poor management, generally. Application for a role you want doesn’t mean you’ll be interviewed for, and /or accepted to that role (but you won’t find out it’s not the role you applied for until after you start). Pay isn’t great for the amount of work related stress pushed on you. It’s either sell sell sell, or you’re not doing enough to help the team as a whole, and the MASSIVE work events just accentuate that.

Pros

Work from home in some roles, decent basic wage, some nice people

Cons

- Zero training or onboarding given, sink or swim environment. - Good sales people are brought in by the decent basic wage but then given no support or guidance to do well and then made to feel worthless when they are at a full target after 2 months which is ridiculously high anyway. - Management have no care for staff or customers unless there’s revenue involved. - Targets are ridiculously high so that only a select few employees qualify for trips and commission (usually the ones that have been there for years starting from the bottom). - Have so many different products due to just repeatedly acquiring other businesses and their tech and claiming it for themselves, the whole company is like a maze to try and navigate. Customer service is also shocking because of this and most customers are unhappy making it impossible to sell to. - Management do not care about mental health of staff as long as they are hitting their numbers. - Have a massive issue with the account base where only the ‘cash cows’ had enough accounts to actually do their jobs and get close to target. Everyone else gets the dregs of what’s left which is nowhere near enough in terms of both quantity and quality. - Spend most of your days dealing with customer complaints rather than sales but don’t get paid on any renewals which is actually 50% of your day job
