Pros

um.... the amount of time off you can earn. there's a transit subsidy if you ride the bus/ferry/light rail to work. if you like potlucks, you'll be in good shape* Double edged sword - some of the toxic people have left. Some did not.

Cons

Sorry, but this is not a place I would ever recommend working. I'm focusing most of this on the Seattle area, but it happens all over too (yes, I've worked with people from other areas). Management is a joke. My manager allowed verbal abuse/intimidation and other inappropriate behavior to be done by some of the management team. They would shrug it off. Literally shrug it off when I talked with them about it and my concerns. The hours are long even though your work time is 40 hours a week. You'll be micromanaged -- who wants that! But this is a call center so some of that is expected. But don't sneeze. you could be be written up if you take time to blow your nose. If you are on the favoritism list, you'll be fine. Qualifications seem to have no bearing anymore, and with the union gone, that doesn't help. There is no real opportunity to grow into a new position(s). Maybe if real hiring is allowed someday, you'll be able to move up but the opportunity just isn't there anymore. There were some people recently hired with great potential. they're gone now. As i look back, the decline has been happening a while even before this administration made it worse. A lot of the problems stem from management that's been management for years and cannot see they are part of the problem. When employees see how they are acting, what incentive did we have to do a good job? it was only personal work ethics that kept us going.
