Pros

Beautiful organized working environment with endless opportunities to learn & develop oneself, and to contribute to one's department and organization.

Cons

Slow progress through grades/levels of the organization with below average compensation along the way in comparison to similar positions in similar sized corporations.

Declining stability

Pros

Used to be stable but not anymore. Have seen loyal hardworking employees being asked to leave. You are just another number in the company

Cons

Do not reward sales staff but target keeps increasing. HR only goal is to squeeze employees dry and do not think of employees welfare. Such mentality only drives loyal good employees out. High costs of expat staff but do not pay local staff fairly. Local staff rarely get promoted or become management level.

Pros

It’s one of Japan’s top-tier companies, offering great opportunities for those who want to work abroad. Many people there are frank and outspoken.

Cons

The system is based on seniority, and decisions are made top-down
