      They're very decentralized so each business unit acts like a smaller business, but has the security of a large business.

      Pros

      De-centralized culture is very empowering to each business. ITW pushes best practices to all of their businesses - 80/20, kanban, etc. Diverse company with lots of opportunities. Significant US manufacturing locations. Many businesses are global. Great opportunities for anyone with global management experience tired of the "big corporate"

      Cons

      Not a lot of corporate support, thus you are responsible for making a lot of decisions on your own (IT, legal, etc)
