Pros

Established, reputable, global company with a strong long-term view. Very structured and forward-thinking. A good overall package and good prospects ongoing.

Cons

As with any corporate entity there can be internal politics and hurdles to overcome. Some processes can take longer than necessary, particular at the customer-facing end of business (albeit with valid contemporary reasons).

Pros

We have a small company feel with my role being broad, varied and the sense that I can have a big impact regardless of level. Also means you can really get to know people right across the business in different functions. At the same time, as we are part of the larger ITW global business I can see a wide range of opportunities for career progression and have access to a big resource. Work/life balance is much better than at big companies I have worked at in the past.

I would say the benefits by far is a good reason. They were a company that pride themselves on promoting from within but with new management it is no longer.

Cons

Promoting from within culture changed about 8 years ago. New management looking to dismantle everything that was done to keep things going.
