      Great company, but corporate is out of toch with field

      Pros

      Well known, Highly respected, Global company,Diversified, polished, good stock. Many product groups in many indudstries. Good people doing tough jobs.

      Cons

      Poor Management, Poort communication, Lack of staff - short,,Poor incentives,lack of life apart from ITW. Overextending staff and people.

      Poor treatment by management

      Decent compensation package and company car Decent benefit package Decentralized business run like a small company with large corporation financial support Many Chicagoland locations Lower level employees treated well

      Cons

      Senior management is allowed (even encouraged) to treat mid management poorly. They are cult like in their toolbox application. Senior management is arrogant enough to walk away from largest accounts due to ego instead of being willing to be flexible to toolbox applications.
