      Pros

      Good pay and benefit programs.

      Cons

      Senior leadership does not value HR. Once you reach the age of 58ish, your job is more than likely to be "eliminated". Very tough and challenging culture unless you drink their "Kool aid" and just go along and question nothing.....

      ITW is decentralized so hard to evaluate.

      Stable company, big corporate backing, good benefits.

      Cons

      A bad mix of corporate intervention and decentralized culture. ITW management doesn't want to invest in the cost of manufacturing overseas, but they want to reap the benefits.

      Pros

      Offers a good benefit package. Good people to work with although most peers are so unhappy with current conditions that it has become a negative environment. .

      Cons

      Poor leadership. Lacks any real knowledge of customers. Working in an outdated business model. Cares more about shareholders than employees. Margin more important than market growth. That's fine, but can cause lost customers because of severe cuts in product offerings making us less competitive. Not competitive in salary.
