Pros
The pay is competitive when you factor in the AWESOME retirement. The hospital invests in its employees’ retirement more than any other facility in the area. (Research the LA Parochial Retirement System to understand). I can retire at age 55 at a great salary and at age 63 with 100% of my salary!! A whole lot more certain than any 401K and leaps and bounds above Social Security. The July 25th review about “favoritism” is from a disgruntled coworker who was terminated for unprofessional behavior which, thankfully, is not tolerated in this facility. This facility expects coworkers to treat each other with respect. Employees PROMISE to uphold our values of Professionalism, Respect, Ownership, Manage up, Inform, Safety, and Excellence. Employees who cannot keep the promise are not a fit for this facility. Our strength is our employees.
Cons
Healthcare in general is stressful due to federal and state budget cuts. For this reason, employees must be able to multi-task and be flexible.
