Retirement is AWESOME

Pros

The pay is competitive when you factor in the AWESOME retirement. The hospital invests in its employees’ retirement more than any other facility in the area. (Research the LA Parochial Retirement System to understand). I can retire at age 55 at a great salary and at age 63 with 100% of my salary!! A whole lot more certain than any 401K and leaps and bounds above Social Security. The July 25th review about “favoritism” is from a disgruntled coworker who was terminated for unprofessional behavior which, thankfully, is not tolerated in this facility. This facility expects coworkers to treat each other with respect. Employees PROMISE to uphold our values of Professionalism, Respect, Ownership, Manage up, Inform, Safety, and Excellence. Employees who cannot keep the promise are not a fit for this facility. Our strength is our employees.

Cons

Healthcare in general is stressful due to federal and state budget cuts. For this reason, employees must be able to multi-task and be flexible.

Pros

You get a paycheck. Much lower than other professionals doing the same job as you across the country but....a paycheck is a pro? If I must list one...

Cons

Way behind the times compared to other medical facilities. Extremely unprofessional supervisors who constantly talk badly about their employees to their other employees. Those who have been there for 10 plus years are the only valued employees. Your hard work is never recognized, ever. So glad to no longer be a part of this sad little toxic environment.

Locally involved and try to bring more to the area. sometimes offer nice sign on incentives.

Cons

Local politics. If you are not a fan of people getting jobs despite having zero merit, don't work here. The politics are awful.
