Pros

--Overall congenial and professional group of people worked with, both in work and management --Facilities are very nice, ranging from the posh Aurora Hotel to a few dozen man camps --Head cooks at most of the facilities are well-trained chefs with years of experience --Company is not Alaska Native owned, which give hiring preferences to Native shareholders

Cons

--As with any job on the North Slope, you're working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for 2 weeks or more on end. And sometimes you have to stay a week or two longer than your scheduled tour because your alternate may have personal or health matters to take care of --Saturday's safety briefings need to be short and sweet, not 2 hours long in some cases --Getting on with the company is not easy, due to low turnover
