Pros

The coworkers, anyone below a leadership level have a tendency to band together due to the hostile work environment that they all face.

Cons

Although I did not stay there long, it was clear this company has a long history of shaddy practices, dishonest C-suite and rude behavior. In an attempt to hide their poor performance as a company Ideas That Evoke attempted to change their about section in Glassdoor to reflect a different company. Do not be mislead, this company is based in Madison, WI and is "The Evoke Agency" or "Ideas That Evoke" and their website is www.theevokeagency.com. Other employees indicated that this type of behavior has been reaccuring and it shows from their abysmal turnover. Their "leaders" are the root of the problem. With dismissive attitudes, rude comments and gossipy tendencies, their "leaders" often discuss confidential information about employees to other employees. In addition, the negative discussions about other "leaders" is rampant with the higher ups often insulting each other behind their backs. Although my tenur lasted through a few month of 2020 before I quit, the experience has left a bad enough taste in my mouth to look away from agency experience. My greatest advice to you is to look somewhere else.

Pros

-Nice office space - a way to lure you into working there. "Look at our podcast shed" Little do you know you'll be crying in there 6 months into employment due to burnout. -Hybrid work schedule -Coffee machine -???

Cons

You have to rely on your peers to teach you things you are thrown into with no previous knowledge. You never feel like your manager ever has time to teach you things and that you are bothering them if you have questions (or it just gets left unanswered for days). They brainwash you into thinking this is the best place to work and that they are the best marketing team in the world that they have full trust in, however, will micromanage the heck out of you and make you question your knowledge and integrity every day. You feel like you need to have your phone/computer strapped to your hip at all times of the day and that if things don't get finished that day it will be the end of the world (even when you have 100 tasks with little to no help). The expectation is that you stay later to get what needs to be done. Lower-level employees are given so many responsibilities, however, if you ask for a raise or a promotion they say "all levels have the same responsibilities it's about your experience", however, they give an entire client to you with 6 months of experience and expect you to run it efficiently. You feel like you have to beg for what you are worth constantly. They hire most of their employees straight out of college so they can manipulate you into thinking this is normal behavior - WHICH IS NOT. Please please please listen to these reviews. I made the mistake of not and my time there was such a waste of time.

Pros

Some great people here and there

Cons

Only great for leadership roles. I thought it'd be different for me working there but after reading the reviews they were totally right about the culture. Work-life balance is terrible. Working 40 hours is the bare minimum they expect you to work 50-80 hours a week.
