      Pros

      Company is re-inventing itself with young, smart hires Leadership believes in work hard, play hard culture Starting to expand beyond just database performance and actually have a story to tell. Exciting time to be here.

      Cons

      Geographically dispersed teams can pose a challenge for communicating Internal IT doesn't have a clue. Can't get new hire equipment ready on time, doesn't understand business impact to system migrations, drops the ball on simple help desk tickets, etc.

      I did not see any upside.

      Cons

      Immediate manager seemed to not have any say in how things are done. Everything comes from the top. Very difficult atmosphere to work in.

      Pros

      When I joined there were concerns as leadership changes brought about other changes. Many complacent employees failed to let the ugly duckling period work itself out. The company is now poised for growth. As with any company you reach growing pains as you transition from a small shop to a larger one. That said, I think we are moving the right direction overall. The new CEO and the management team are all energetic and inspiring. The vision of company is becoming more clear and for those of us who didn't eat the marshmellow, it is a great place to work! I highly recommend Idera. Most of the people are happy to be here. The benefits are great for our size and there is money to be made for hard workers. I love that management trusts their employees and does not micro manage.

      Cons

      Growing pains and changes. The company is redefining itself. There is still some "fat" to trim from complacent employees. Some of the equipment/hardware/etc. is not the newest--it's not old, but not brand new and I think that is strange for a tech company.
