      Pros

      Illumina hires great knowledgeable people that are happy to chip in to get things done. There is very limited office politics and the technology and innovation that occurs here is outstanding.

      Cons

      Illumina has undergone a quick growth curve resulting in unstructured / underdeveloped business processes. This can lead to a confusing environment that may be difficult to assimilate into if you are timid and shy or not willing to ask questions.

      Pros

      Exciting products. Very cutting edge technology. Growth of the company within the last few years.

      Cons

      Lack of infrastructure. Middle management is the poorest I've ever worked with. The organization is top heavy. Feels like organizations and managers assigned are just to experiment. Horrible prospects for advancing and no growth opportunities within many groups. Expect employees to work until they burnout.
