Too Small to be Anonymous

Pros

The company is still small enough that pretty much everyone knows everyone else.

Cons

The company is still small enough that you can figure out exactly who left most of the "anonymous" reviews. Not everyone will be honest under those circumstances.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback, and to your service to Illumio and our customers. I agree that our company - and our culture - is oriented toward helping everyone feel like a local, even from their first weeks with us. I like that we bring our "Onwards, Together" core value to life in a way that folks can feel and see, both at events like our recent FY25 Onwards kickoff meeting and in our everyday work. Thanks also for your feedback on communication about the company's next steps. In this week's All Hands, we were proud to share the details of all our goals this year, with speed and transparency that I haven't seen in other companies. As we achieve those goals this FY together, the exec team and I are confident in our continued progress as a company that delivers predictable, reliable results in service of our partners and customers. Thanks again for your feedback - please keep it coming! David Chief People Officer

Pros

Great pay at an extremely liberal Silicon Valley company

Cons

Extremely progressive and liberal policies. Pack your 1st amendment rights away and keep your mouth shut. Scary hiring process. Minimal onboard training. But, they pay for all lunches, have free beer and wine on tap. A very very typical silicone valley…California company. Beware!!

First off, thank you for the work you've done here at Illumio supporting our customers. It's their experience and success with our products and our company that reinforces the mission we're all on together. While I'm still new to the company and getting up to speed on our policies, what I've experienced so far aligns with two of core values of "build trust" and "leverage differences." Differences of opinion are not only welcomed here at Illumio, they're encouraged, as we know that a diversity of voices, experiences and ideas will make our products and our company stronger. And that openness to everyone who comes to our offices (virtual or in person) applies to everyone across the company, leadership included. If you'd be open to sharing more with me about where I can help in that area, please reach out anytime. Thanks, David Chief People Officer
