Pros

If you are willing to learn, plenty of other people's slacks to pick up and learn. A lot of new projects to pick up and own.

Cons

little room for growth, very little employee appreciation, ok management, HR that spends more time checking Glassdoor reviews and star ratings rather than employee well being and employee engagement.

Pros

This is a great place to gain first time experience in the biotech field for those straight out of college. The pay is above most other places with full time benefits. Management has improved to make sure people are not being overworked.

Cons

The work environment on the manufacturing floor has become extremely unprofessional/ toxic and makes focusing on work difficult. Upper management needs to start taking complaints seriously with continuous corrections to behavior. It is exhausting and is a huge force as to why so many senior operators leave. You are promised a pay bump and a title change at your one year, but operators are not receiving them. There is little advancement within the company and there is a lot of favoritism that occurs. There is a lot of workplace mobbing that occurs and it drives out the better employees. My best advice is to get your experience and leave the company once you are done.

Pros

The pay can be decent. There are opportunities to work with other departments.

Cons

I don’t think I was ever so drained and miserable in my entire life as I was when I was working for ImmunityBio (also formerly known as NantKwest). There is no such thing as work-life balance at this company. Despite being an hourly worker, you will VERY frequently be expected to work long hours and stay overtime, and if you ever can’t stay late, you are made to feel bad about it, as if you should feel guilty for having a life and things to do outside of work. As if toiling away during the regular work week isn’t bad enough, you will also frequently have to work weekends. If you’re in manufacturing, you will, for whatever reason, be expected to do the jobs of other departments as well. The company itself is a mess. Things are constantly changing and they hide behind the slogan “embrace change” to mask the fact that they have no real idea what they’re doing. They start new projects/operations without having enough personnel/resources to support these operations, resulting in them stretching their employees thin. They constantly rush deadlines and put a lot of pressure on their employees to get things done quickly, and then they wonder why nothing ever goes smoothly. I know for a fact that there are many other employees who feel the same way, I have a feeling there will be a mass exodus coming to this company. If they keep running things the way that they are, they will never reach commercialization.
