Cons

Patrick won’t pay for bonus No actual performance review Horrible communications (things change by the minute and you won’t find out until it’s too late) Merit increase and upward mobility is nonexistent Constant getting lied to about everything Raise and promotion based on nepotism but not on actual work being performed People constantly stealing work

Thank you for providing feedback and as part of our Ethics Code, and accountability is apart of our Culture. I would hope you have had a conversation with your HR Business Partner to bring some of these items to light. I.e any issues within your dept. or even stealing work. No action can be taken if incidences are not reported. Your HRBP will also be happy to discuss any issues you might have if you are not receiving answers directly from your Director or Manager. As stated in all offer letters, and employee handbooks, which all employees sign-off on; it states that bonus eligibility and merit increase are discretionary and not guaranteed. This is based on the company goals/performance, as well as the individual contributor... Bonus eligibility is still pretty good overall, being that ImmunityBio is a non-revenue generating company. For industry, ImmunityBio has a 2.6% in turnover and is standard given our company size and industry. With all companies, there are always areas on which we can strive to improve and be better. ImmunityBio is wrapping up a huge project which is to be rolled out soon. That project is our Career Framework - this gives the employee knowledge on what it takes to get to the next level in their career track, and how to get there. Communication is another area for improvement, and HR has recognized this and we are working with our Sr. Leaders to help improve for all employee experience. With all things, it takes time and patience. Our HR restructure is still less than a year old, and we are striving to improve on a daily basis - we trust that there are new and exciting to come.

Pros

Research staff and management were all incredible and fantastic individuals to work with

Cons

High Turnover. Severely delayed(6 months) feedback on yearly review performance review. No interest in investing in professional development of employees. Toxic cross-site communication as well as toxic management practices. Poor transparency and information about company vision and direction. This site never felt important to the company as a whole so there was a constant fear felt by many employees of it being shut down. Very little information passed to us about current pipelines and progress on those pipelines. If you want to see more reviews related to this company and this site’s past look up NantCell and Etubics.

Thank you for your feedback, and we do look into each review and address all concerns to our Senior Leadership Team. While I am not sure of the timeline you ended employment with ImmunityBio, all self-reviews were to be completed by the end of 2019 and then department managers to have review sessions by the end of February 2020 with their direct reports. I would hope your manager had this sit-down review with you in the presented timeline above. Turnover at ImmunityBio is at 2.6%, which is standard given the industry and size of the company. ImmunityBio has also invested in thousands of LinkedIn learning courses that are free to all employees. There are courses that are recommended based on your job title, as well as, a full library to choose from based on your interest, which ties into professional development. At the end of every year, each department submits its proposed budget for the following year to finance. Their proposed budget could include items for additional professional development - this is also a conversational piece to be had with your direct supervisor in order to map out your career progression, and to plan accordingly. With any organization, communication is something that can always be improved and re-developed. With our recent HR re-structure, this is our goal, to improve employee engagement and have more communication flow amongst all sites. Again, thank you for your feedback.
