Lower Your Expectations And Watch Your Mouth
Pros
- Pre-COVID there were good benefits. - Nice perks. - Work-Life balance is good. You are given freedom with your time management and work from home as you want.
Cons
- Over macro-management. You are expected to fully manage yourself. Managers dodge a lot of duties you'd expect managers to do, and they are usually engineers who were promoted without any managing experience. - An incredibly tiring amount of meetings. - Terrible task and sprint management - Bad utilization of tools like Jira. - They give you the feeling that "everyone is nice", but in practice you need to chase others to work with you as not all engineers cooperate and want to help and tend to pass on the responsibility, especially between different teams. - No real way for developer to improve and learn new things since the emphasis is more on reaching deadlines while leaving lots of technical debts on the way. - Legacy code with less emphasis on quality and a lot of messy infrastructures. - Product managers are not working with developers well and usually aren't involved enough with the development process. - Another security company - Make sure you like the field if you wanna work here. - Salary is average. - Bureaucratic company with all the entailed disadvantages.
