Pros

Thinking long and hard about one. The sellers and SEs are generally v talented. Kinda cool tech, if you squint your eyes and ignore all the noise in the space.

Cons

Look at LinkedIn at the churn. Trust your gut on the signs! - Sales people aren’t performing - Lots of churn - Exec team and particularly CEO is super abrasive. - Stressful, toxic environment. - Hyper rigid process for such a small company - No real marketing strategy - Poor work/life balance even during covid

What’s implied at Imply? People don’t matter.

Pros

Some great employees still trying to make a difference.

Cons

A competent leader realizes a company is built on and with the people who care and show up everyday to work as hard as they can. Not at the helm of someone who has no respect for people. Your company is only as good as your product, your people, your passion, and your values. Your product will suffer if your people are less productive because you applaud aggressive behavior and ignore your “core values”. You are eroding all of the passion and drive out the people who work for and most importantly with you. Imply has made many mistakes here. Too many to count. This will absolutely inhibit Imply’s ability to be a great company, attract great people, and be a great investment. It’s a shame, really, they had all the advice they needed but didn’t care to listen. Immature and out of touch leadership is to blame. Politics are rampant and people who want to do real work are impeded by kindergarten hijinks and leadership that makes decisions out of fear and ego. When presented with possible solutions, leadership buries it’s head in the sand, doubles down, and seemingly enjoys inflicting more pain. Terrible leadership practices, an acceptance and the promotion of aggressive behavior, and an intense blame culture equals an awful culture overall. This is not the best of the best. Leadership is immune to coaching of any kind and is the worst the Silicon Valley has to offer. Buyer beware.

Pros

Great tech, challenging work, poor leadership

Cons

This place is becoming very political and bureaucratic and they are adding layers upon layers of management. The founders are loosing control and don't have much say into the day to day functioning. All the VPs in this company are wasting company's money and hiring their own friends and family into respective orgs, it is becoming very demotivating and frustrating to work for undeserving and unqualified bosses, it's not fair to employees.
