work load, no a lot of time off, not flexible, and the work and the payment isn't that good.

Pros

Historically (before my time), engineering leadership has been kind of a mess, but the former leadership is out. I was extremely skeptical of the CEO's ability to hire a stellar CTO, but he and the rest of the hiring committee have done a spectacular job. Day to day, the business problems that we face are difficult and engaging. Vast majority of the people that I work with are really great. The business is extremely well-positioned, and we have the makings to really crush the next couple of years.

Cons

Engineering management at the moment is pretty ineffective. I have a good feeling that the new CTO will help improve that situation.
