Pros

The benefits package is good and they do care about their Colleagues. There are a lot of good opportunities for training and growth.

Cons

There are some issues with communication from the corporate office and a lack of integration. There are many opportunities to improve relationships between IU Health and it's affiliates.

Pros

Well one of the best reasons is that on the night shift we have great teamwork from everyone. When a nurse needs help with somthing they always say please and thank you. Secondly I have been there for a lil over four years and there its like a second home. I love going to work knowing that the coworkers i work with are fun to work with and we all get along really well.

Cons

One of the downsides of working at Ball is that we are short cnts on night shift and there are nights were i will have 20-30 patients to care for. Its gets so overwelming on those nights but iv learned how to get through it and the nurses can depend on me cause i am a very good cnt and i dont complain about my job i just do it.

Pros

The hospital has done a good job of hiring friendly, compassionate professionals who are pleasant to work with. The benefit package is decent, and tuition reimbursement is on par with other institutions in the state.

Cons

The hospital is going through some growing pains as it merges with "Indiana Health" and attempts to cement it's place as a regional referral center. Changes in policies and philosophy are made rapidly, which would not be a problem if the education department did a better job of disseminating information to the employees. Example: In the year I have worked there, we have changed the DNR policy at least 3 times.
