      Pros

      Health benefits are very good and cheap. Tuition benefits for employee and dependents. Discounted entry to arts and sports events. 30 days of paid time off from your first year!

      Cons

      They will not offer you a competitive salary. No bonuses in most cases. No rewards for accomplishing some big thing.

      Pros

      The work schedule is flexible and management is supportive. Would highly recommend working at IU. Staff are reliable and dependable.

      Cons

      Difficult to move up if you do not have a phd, though mobility across the university is common. HR seems to prefer to hire people that under stand the university administrative programs.

      Everything depends on the research lab you find yourself in. Choose wisely, and IU will be a rewarding time.
