Pros

Great Tacoma Location Snacks Monthly Lunches Great Coworkers

Cons

The work life at the office changed over the past year. Senior leadership came in from a Redmond company and started to rip apart all that was good within my org. Starting from the day he started we had changes within personal and hiring of "consultants" that were moved into other senior leadership roles. These changes also pushed out seasoned staff and great leaders replacing them with incompetent micromanagers. Over the next six months, the culture changed and the small efficient team was left with a 1:1 manager to a staff member ratio that showed how top heavy this org was. Stay away from IT and there horrible and toxic leaders. To speak to the HR team you have staff that is not on your side and end up putting the company's interests forward never trying to help out employees and leave a fearful taste in your mouth when you talk to them. If you have HR that does not help and people are afraid to talk to then it is time to remove them and put in people that are no in the pocket of the company and acting as a puppet for the senior leadership. If all of this has not already scared you off then you should know that the compensation is a joke in Tacoma and you are better to move to Seattle or get on the sounder so that you make 40-50% more a year.
