Pros

Flexible schedule, relatively easy work, most positions in the store are indoors, so bad weather isn't an issue. Most of the customers are pleasant.

Cons

Low pay, frequent nights, weekends and holidays, low morale, some of the customers are rude. I was injured in my off time because of things that happened at work. It could and should have been avoided.

Pros

Co-workers mostly easy to get along with No experience needed to start

Cons

Low pay with little room for advancement Everything is frozen, so you don't learn how to actually bake other than cooking frozen food Little room for advancement -- they'll make you work just shy of 40 hours so they don't have to give you full time benefits Once you are full time, the insurance is terrible (very high deductible)

Pros

-Rotating Weekends (Work Sat/Off Sun then Off Sat/Work Sun) -Flexible Scheduling

Cons

-You are expected to do a lot of work for very little pay -Being promoted is extremely unlikely and any wage increases is purely for inflation, not because they think you deserve it. -If you do not fight for higher wages they will not give it (I knew someone who has worked full-time in the deli for years longer than I, but somehow he made less than me) - Deli Management is very clique like, the assistant store manager has many complaints filed against him. -Expected to work holidays, no holiday pay or overtime (ever)
