Pros

Hotel discounts. PTO plan. Uhhhhh

Cons

Little to no work life balance. Very low pay for the job you are required to do. Hotels are dumps. leadership only hires really young inexperienced people to roles they are completely unfit to do so they can feel better about knowing nothing and not evolving. Lot of egos. They’re so proud of how long they’ve worked at this go nowhere company but all that means is stagnant ideas and old school sales tactics.

Pros

Nice properties. Property level environment was good, but could have been better with more support from corporate. Stable company that has been acquiring lots of properties. Job security is solid.

Cons

Corporate leadership almost never visited properties. They promoted a male that I trained twice. I am a female and was turned down for a promotion 7 times. I have more experience and more successes in the industry than my male counterpart who had never worked in the industry before. Hard work doesn't mean much to this company. Whoever can kiss up to leadership or has 20+ years of experience to sell to their owners will get promoted. It was also near impossible to terminate bad employees. That frustrated my good employees.

Pros

-straight forward org chart, quick turnaround for questions. - quick promotion to get something on your resume.

Cons

-Always go after the owner's best interests. Budget cut, staff cut, pay level, property upkeep, etc... Whatever makes the best numbers. -cut down property-level employees, running at a skeleton team. But promoted executive team and created a couple VP positions. Well... who is going to do the job?
