Upper management get promoted regularly. We get emails telling us every time another person in upper management gets hired or promoted, yet those of us in the trenches get nothing. No bonuses or raises and no opp for promotion. Once a year (whenever they decide that actually is) we get a small living wage increase. We are short staffed but being told there is a hiring freeze, yet hires upper management. Makes no sense.

Pros

Led and developed a restructured finance group. Successfully completed annual audit which team was struggling with when I joined.

Cons

Team needed lots of guidance. More than what I've been used to in the past. Upper management was also very indecisive with strategies to attack.

Terrible benefits, no bonuses, no 401k match, work almost every weekend. lack of upper management, have to work at a machine that barely runs and company will not put any money into making machines run properly but they want you to produce numbers which is impossible with a worn out machine.
