Pros

Good but not best-in-class benefits. Competitive salary. Many excellent coworkers. Management seems to care about employees. Great culture of process improvement over blaming individuals. Not as profit driven as some other hospital systems I've worked for meaning that there is less emphasis on productivity and more emphasis on patient outcomes.

Cons

Still has many of the same cons as other facility based healthcare positions such as longer hours for salaried employees, weekly lunch meetings. The normal drama from patients. Low flexibility for accomplishing outside personal appointments. Complicated holiday schedules. Weekend work.
