Pros

One of the best Hospitals in the area, the higher level of medical staff tend to get the best pay and benefits. The CEO seems humble and passionate about the company.

Cons

Corporate level seems to run a 1980's ethic and morale status. Turn over rate is high. The place seems to be like high school, employees are bullied by higher authority and are picked by who is liked the most rather than valueing the work. Managers seem to be more demanding, picky and unfair than being good leaders and motivators. Competitive pay is a joke unless you are comparing it to the late 90s. Work life balance is not what it advertise, they refused a lot of my PTO request I had even when I had the time and we weren't that busy and others were favorited were awared PTO, you cannot be late for a minute or they will write you up or threaten to write you up. So if you have personal issues or doctors appointments good luck!

Pros

They provide (okay) Health Coverage.

Cons

Said Health Coverage is moving to Inova-owned insurance, meaning the employer provides health insurance and health service (expensive to go outside of Inova). There is worry among employees they will force us to get annual health screenings and raise our premiums accordingly. This is dangerous territory for an employee. They DO NOT pay competitive wages and forbid the formation of unions. Once you are an employee you are going to be stuck at your wage for a very long time. Even with a promotion, they always find a way or policy to prevent you from making the same wage they would hire a new person at. So basically, it's easier to get a raise or paid for a promotion by quitting your job and being rehired than it is by actually staying with the company. HR does not do their job and are just the puppets of the administration. Inova also make the most basic of tasks extremely complicated and time consuming.
