      Software downtime; company tries to save money by implementing cheaper software and instruments; no more pay raises after a certain number of years

      Pros

      Friendly environment and a direct leader that doesn't micromanage. Benefits are typical but can get significant discount on health insurance by participating in wellness activities.

      Cons

      Pay is not to market although compensation dept. claims to do annual surveys. Directors/Managers are bonus eligible but metrics set to unachievable levels in most cases. Tuition benefits are low for those that want to further their education unless you are a nurse. They should be equal to all. Cash balance plan canceled for all employees rather than just those that entered the organization on January 1, 2015. 401K match is low. Little opportunity to grow within organization.

      Pros

      They pay you well for clinical research.

      Cons

      Culture of mediocrity. Administration is very content with no work or progress done but just attending meetings and acting busy. No one in research management has specific research experience to give them that title. All doctors act entitled to research services but want to do no work. There are zero cancer treatment protocols, but they advertise as if there are many cancer treatment trials to get on. The only people who work there for a long time are those that can find a job elsewhere or are too incompetent to figure out how to leave.
