The worst contracting experience ever!
Pros
The hourly contract rate was better than competitors.
Cons
The recruiters know little about placing people in IT roles outside of looking for a few buzzwords on your resume. From what I can see, their only focus is getting the commission check and by any means necessary. My recruiter outright lied to me and said that my position was contract to perm. After a few weeks on the job site, I asked the manager onsite about the timeline for going perm, and he indicated that the position was contract only with the option to renew. Moreover, once on the job site, I was left to my own devices for 3 weeks with no support from Insight after I discovered that I had been baited and switched regarding the scope of work of my assignment. So much for that promise of mediation with the end-client should things not go as expected. And the "benefits" as they call them are a total joke .The 401k match is $250 a year. That's it! The bottom line is you will pay for everything out of your earnings. Moreover, Insight Global will keep any money that your put into their Flex Spending and public transit benefits if they are not used by last day of your employment. If the end-client suddenly terminates your contract, you end up losing your hard earned money through no fault of your own. And good luck getting someone to help you with your benefits questions, no one at the office can help you so you will be directed to an email address. Simply horrible! Expect little to nothing from Insight Global.
