      Pros

      Cannot really mention a best reason - they are like all of the other consulting organizations

      Cons

      Insight Global is the typical consulting company that only sees dollar signs. The staff is not technically competent to associate the person's skill set with the requirements of the client company. The 2 main working/development environments are Microsoft and open source and the staff does not seem to know the difference. I single out Insight Global here, but most consulting companies are of the same mind set - they do not know the difference.

      Pros

      My favorite thing about Insight Global is the opportunity for advancement. All promotions are from within, so that's a huge incentive to work hard and get ahead fast. I started here about two months ago and am on track to become an Account Manager, which I'm excited for. There's a very strong client base here in Chicago and I really enjoy spending time with those clients and learning from my mentor.

      Cons

      It's a standard Monday through Friday 8-5 job, but it's exhausting. If you aren't up for a fast-paced, high energy work environment, you might feel a little stress.
