Pros

There is nothing good about this place.

Cons

Most of the reviews on here must be contractors that Insight placed in jobs, and they love their job at the other company they work at. NOT INSIGHT GLOBAL. I knew I made a mistake accepting the job the first day I started. IG is terribly unethical - ladies, you MUST wear heals all day long, and the tighter that skirt the better. Inappropriate relationships between the boss and employees are tolerated. You'll be forced to hang out with your coworkers that are guaranteed to be the worst version of a frat boy or sorority girl. Not only that but the pay is crap. IF, that is IF, you make it an account manager role you will be expected to make at least 100 cold calls per day. And as a recruiter, you will be forced to dance in front of your entire office when you fill your first position. Which will be after the account manager requires that you stay until 10 PM trying to fill the most impossible requirements ever. Work-life balance is not a thing here. This is all after they fly you down to Atlanta to force feed you the IG Kool-Aid (aka fireball and margaritas....but don't be the guy swimming in the fountain or this high class company MIGHT fire you!) If you want a real, professional, ethical work experience do NOT work at IG. ACCEPT A JOB AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Pros

- Fun working environment - Some ability to interact/interface with management and decision makers at Fortune 500 companies - Semi-annual company trips/conferences

Cons

- Call-center environment with metric-driven expectations --> metrics and numbers are 100% valued over ethical and smart business decisions; 99% of your job is being on the phones and making calls - EXTREMELY high turnover - saw over 25 people (about two thirds of the office) quit/resign/get fired during my time there, which was barely 8 months - Only promote from within, so no outside managerial experience which lends to a very one-sided outlook and mindset - "Sink or swim": If you're not 100% with the corporate culture and it's beliefs and processes, you're against it - Recruitment of Insight Global employees is based more on physical appearance and attractiveness than merit and education (simply search "Insight Global" on LinkedIn and you'll see what I mean) - If you value your hard work and effort during your time at school, this is not the best fit for you. I went to a top 20 school in the US and would not suggest this job, as my intelligence and education were rarely able to be fully applied. And if you're not a fan of Greek Life, this really is not the place either.

Pros

IG provides a great atmosphere for first time employment opportunities. The culture of the company is all young people right out of college so that gives you the opportunity to meet great people.

Cons

The interviewing process needs to change. The turnover rate is ridiculous and that has a lot to do with them selling the account management position in the interview. They need to be upfront about the fact you will be a recruiter for 6-12 months (or longer - depending upon what office you are in) and that you will be expected to be there from 7:30 AM to 6PM or later while in the recruiting position. Stop mentioning the company trip to Cancun because chances are, you will quit before you make it that far. They pay you close to nothing and expect a lot. There are plenty of other entry level sales positions with a higher base / better commission structure to consider before taking this. It really is a pyramid scheme and I was not going to put up with the way they micro manage. Everything is based on your weekly numbers and they monitor your activity like a hawk. Quantity over quality should be there motto - because that is truly all they care about. I leave everyday with a moral hangover from calling candidates to come in to meet with me about jobs they will not work for just to hit my "5 in-houses a week quota" - Management also tells multiple recruiters at a time they need to "push for sales" to get as much out of each person that month when in reality they already have an idea of who will be promoted. They use the recruiters as much as they can - promising promotions that are far away - just to up their performance and better the overall performance of the office. In turn, this causes stress and frustration resulting in the recruiters unhappiness.
