Great company, but sales feel like pyramid scheme
Pros
I really love my manager and team. The company culture is great. There really is "limitless" opportunities in commissions and residuals. Product is great and generally considered premier product in the PEO space. Great benefits. $375/month spend card for business expenses.
Cons
I think I got lucky with a great manager and team. I have heard horror stories in other offices, so that is luck of the draw. There are “limitless” opportunities for commissions/residuals but this is a very tough sale and you will find a lot of it is out of you control. Generally we are twice as expensive as our next closest competitor. Corporate doesn’t do much to be competitive on price. Really the only way to make the product less expensive is by taking it out of your own commission/residuals. Company also treats this as if it is a small sales cycle, but in reality it is very long. Corporate barely provides leads and if they do, it goes only to your local senior rep. It almost seems as if their sales strategy is to only feed their senior reps with leads through new sales reps “partnering” with the seniors. It feels a little bit like a pyramid scheme. Upper management is very “what have you done for me lately”, and rarely offer positive feedback when it is warranted.
