Pros

While it is difficult to get into the company, once you get in it is very difficult to get fired. The company is loyal to employees, almost to a fault. That situation is great for employees. The benefits are great. You really aren't asked to do much in comparison to other places I have been.

Cons

During my interview process, I was told by a senior manager that this is not the place to think you are going to change the world. You just stay under the radar and get paid. This is the best way to describe the company. Sales works extremely hard, but every other department never breaks a sweat. This can be frustrating if you are working with other groups to get something done because there is zero urgency. No one is really held accountable for what doesn't get done. If you are the type to just go into the office, then go home without caring much about work then none of this will matter to you and may be seen as a positive. Most people who work at Insperity have been there 15-20 years. There are alot of married couples and children of employees working there. This creates uncomfortable situations. The reality is that many employees grew up together there. Their kids all went to school together. So you have decade long bonds and conflicts. This definitely effects business at times. You have times when one employee hates the other for something that happened years ago and you have situations where opinions are that employees can do no wrong. It also creates a sense of "us vs them" when it comes to newer employees.

Entry level job with a fancy title

Pros

Learned to take my time and read Glassdoor before taking any job

Cons

Entry level job sold with a fancy title and promise of making real money. Looks really good on the surface till you dig in. Select few will do well because they are given everything incoming. (Everyone in sales mentions this, so don't be surprised when you notice it's true.) Nobody will teach you anything. If you learn you cant be used as a telemarketer anymore. You are there to create opportunities for the long term people. Revolving door in sales due to the lies they feed people during the recruitment process. Model is designed to bring in high level talent to do entry level work and you help feed the lazy people. You sell some stuff, you leave and they keep your measly residuals. Every office has a couple fat and happy, one or two office favorites and the rest are chumps. Same pattern in just about every office.
