Pros

Okay base pay and benefits, but you better be able to live on it without dreams of commission. You will find some good people here. I find that to be true of most places you might work. However, because of the sales processes in place, the environment can be toxic, caddy, and cut throat. I get that's not all pro. Training at corporate is very good and you are treated very well. Nice annual company meetings.

Cons

Churn and burn in the truest sense of the phrase. 2/3 of sales force hired in a year, won't make it to year 2. Sales process is designed for new advisors to fail. What corporate says and what you are asked to do in the field is completely opposite. Some districts believe in cold calling from your cubicle all day. Dial and smile. You will be taught to mislead prospects in order to make the appointment. Even if you have interested prospects, which are so few and far between, Insperity will kill the deal with incompetence, delays, and cost. This really happens. They're the most expensive game in town and it's not because they're the best, promise. The concept of helping small businesses succeed interested me enough to take this job, but that's NOT what you'll be doing. There's better companies out there doing similar things for small businesses. The systems and mindset is old, outdated, stagnant. Again, I liked the corporate message, but execution and district level life was miserable. To be totally fair, some offices are better than others. I have friends at Insperity that I met in training all over the country, and my situation was by far the worst. So if you get a great manager that supports you and isn't horrible, you have a slim chance to work yourself to death for several years and build a client base. But you better have a great team and management. Most people are looking for a way out unless they've been there for over 5 years. My experience was pretty much worst job of my professional life.
