Pros

Ability to change availability weekly, private working with exceptions of having a coworker on shift with you sometimes, easy environment. I really enjoyed working for this company for the most part. I was hired in 2020 right before the pandemic was in its height. When I first started, the job was a dream. My manager was absolutely amazing, I was making my own schedule (a vital part to the job as I am a VERY busy college student, I was getting paid pretty well compared to other jobs, and they would give us bonuses every once and a while for our hard-work during the tough times of the pandemic.

Cons

No benefits, strenuous work on your body for the most part, no on-site manager everyday, mediocre pay. Around January of 2021 everything changed. My hours started getting cut, they took away our ability to make our own schedules, and bonuses and holiday pay disappeared. I continued working at Instacart until February of this year. Our pay did go up from $11 to $13 but with the loss of everything else we one had and absolutely no benefits it didn't really make a difference. I was on shift the last week of January when I found out, and my other coworkers, that we all would no longer have a job come this March via our emails-- in the middle of our shifts. We had no warning, not even from our bosses. It really sucked, especially given how difficult the job market is right now.

Pros

They have flexible hours and it's part-time.

Cons

The shopper has too many targets to meet per order plus time constraints. There is a lot of unnecessary communication with the customer.
